| In 1988, I was bought a Freedom of Scotland rail rover for my 15th birthday. My family and I were on Holiday at Blair Atholl, which was a handy base, being on the Highland Main Line. Some early morning rides on my Dad's motorbike were needed to get to places like Tulloch, on the West Highland Line. Later, my Dad and I stayed in B&Bs at John O'Groats and Kyle of Lochalsh, I travelled by train, he by motorbike. It was a fantastic fortnight, with the vast majority of trains being loco-hauled.
